Reading Challenges 2025
We’re nearly a week into 2025 so I thought I’d commit to a couple of challenges for the reading year ahead.
I managed to read Forty books last year and was happy with that so hopefully I’ll be near that figure again. Saying that, I won’t be pushing myself and will read what and when I want, and aim to enjoy my reading. I’m enjoying being a mood reader.
2025 Non-Fiction Reading Challenge
First up is the 2025 Non-Fiction Reading Challenge hosted by the lovely ShellyRae over at Bookd’out. Last year I managed four out of twelve, so hopefully I’ll reach that or even better. I enjoy non-fiction so I think it’s achievable and I’ll record details of my progress here.
Read around the world challenge
Looking at my stats from last year, over 80% of my books read came from Ireland, US and UK. That’s seriously skewed, so I thought a good challenge would be a geographical one. So I’ve joined the read around the world challenge and with 201 books to read across the continents, this challenge could keep me going for a while.
I remember reading about another blogger with a similar challenge but I was unable to find them. If you’re aware of that challenge, please let me know below.
I’ll be updating my progress here.
Storygraph
For the past few years I’ve used the bookriot reading log and though it’s served me while, I thought I’d change it up a bit this year. So for my reading stats, I’m going to rely on Storygraph and see how that goes.
